It happens all too frequently with website owners and novice copywriters. In fact, we have seen this problem with many 'experienced' website owners and copywriters!
Telling your website visitors what you want them to know instead of telling them what they want to hear is never a good idea.
And this happens on a regular basis, for copywriters like ReadCopy it can be annoying to read, and the simple fact is site owners and junior writers getting mixed up with features and benefits.
In order to convey a sales or marketing message effectively it's important to really talk to your prospects, not to talk at them.
Most of the people that will buy from you, do so because they have either a problem that you can help them with or they want efficiencies (save time, save money etc) - these are all benefits of using you, your products or services.
If you want to buy a car, are you really interested in the fact that the car uses an electronic key or the fact that it cuts down on door scratches, keeping your car looking nicer for longer.
Would you be more interested to know that the car has Coilover Suspension or the fact that it gives superior and safer road handling?
Just give yourself time to better understand what you are selling and write about the benefits that these give your customers.
You will engage with them better and are therefore more likely to get a sale!
