Whether you are writing for them to be posted out or emailed, sales letters can be pesky little things to write, we have seen them sap the energy of fully grown men and almost bring them to tears!
Why are they so difficult to write?
They are just so complex! What do I write about? How do I word it? What tone do I use? Should I use humour? How long should the letter be? How should it be structured? Etc!
Business owners and managers know about their business but rarely know how exactly to talk to customers to get them to take action and buy!
That's where people like us come in; we simply love the creative process. We sit and ponder concepts and ideas before finally putting a draft together for clients.
Often before a client takes their first look at the letters that we have lovingly created, they have already been seen by a small panel of people we trust and they have vetted our approach, words and messages. Before we show you (our client) your new shiny sales letter, we know it will sell.
Is writing a sales letter expensive?

What response rates I expect?
This is a tricky one, as mailing response rates differ by target markets, quality of mailing data, the time of year, even the day and time of mailings are received!
Whilst we don't like to talk about averages, the industry standard is between 1 and 1.5%. Our own response rates for our own mailings are usually between 3-10% depending on the nature of our mailing. Some of our clients have has response rates of over 10%!
So whilst the copy we create is very important, other factors are outside our control are also important, but we are always happy to suggest ways to improve the response to your sales letters.
Can I write it myself?
